phases

For awhile I went through a phase where I would watch that show Clean House all.the.time. Like everyday. Then, while I was pregnant, I always watched HGTV's House Hunters and other decorating shows (I think it had something to do with the nesting). Right now, I can't get enough of the Real Housewives (crazy bitches!).
My husband can attest to the fact that my current obsession is online shopping. I do it like it is going outta style. Like I mentioned before, I even get my diapers and wipes online. Honestly, I love it! Not everything is available everywhere, but with the internet, it is! And for my town, it's important. It would only make sense that my new favoritest thing to do is dress my babe :) A friend of mine who has a cute little bun in the oven was asking me about where I shop for baby clothes. Truth is- until now, I haven't really had to because of all the wonderful people around me who love to buy clothes for Paisley! But as it always goes, babies don't exactly stick to timelines and growth expectations the way they should ;) Paisley is in 3-6 month clothing right now, but she is a little ahead of the curve. Alot of her clothes that will fit her soon are summer clothes. So, baby legs with dresses it is! :) Anyways, back to the original goal here. I think my 2 favorite places for baby clothes have got to be GAP and Target. (GAP sale section, that is!) If I could afford it, GAP would just ship me every.single.item. as it comes out! Shop Target if you wanna pay $8-12 for an outfit. Shop GAP if you wanna pay that (or more) for each peice of the outfit!

So, been to Target.com lately? Cuteness and reasonable prices!  I like Circo and Carter's Just One You Brands.

Moving on to GAP. No need for words.

However, I may not be able to resist this:
Oh, and here's my sweet girl who didnt want to nurse at lunchtime at daycare, she just wanted to sleep!

Bumbo Baby

Did I forget to mention that my babe is 3 months old? She is growing so fast and bringing so much joy to us! She has reached so many milestones, like grasping objects and laughing in these past few weeks. Yesterday at daycare, she sat in a Bumbo for the first time :) I was such a proud mommy!

Paisley's first time sitting up like a big girl, Jan 25, 2011!

I am starting to form a schedule and have been getting myself to work on time. Unfortunatley, that schedule requires me to wake up at 4:30am. This morning, it was 3:30 because Paisley woke up early. Oh well, guess I can't complain-she is a very good sleeper. [That is when her nose is not all stuffed up and she is not coughing!]

On another note, I am trying to learn how to use my DSLR camera and have signed up for a class! It's online and I can't wait to finally learn how to get some good photos! I'm totally 'back to school', I even have a book that I'm supposed to read before the class starts. Unlike my Andy, who has never stopped school! I'm so proud of him, he's in the home stretch for his Master's degree and I really hope it brings him [and us] new opportunities.

How-To

Catch a toy. This has been Paisley's week long challenge :)

Step 1: Put on your cutest outfit (of course).
Step 2: Study the object.

Pushing your lips out helps.

 And go for it!!
We are in the process of retiring the gloves. (Except for sleeping)

The Snipples.

The sniffles. The runnies. The stuffies.

Yup, you guessed it-baby's first cold. Breaking her mama's heart. But still happy through all of the saline drops and boogie wipes.

A few posts ago, I mentioned some mommy/baby items that I can't live without. This is question I asked EVERYBODY while I was pregnant. I have kind of found that everyone's list is a little different. As time moves on, mine changes. I think it's funny how my priorities and the things I get excited about have changed. Right now, I am super excited about 2 things. They both involve saving money and making life easier. Who's with me? :)

Amazon Mom.
Diapers are expensive, everyone knows that. But once you find the kind you like, you buy in bulk, baby. My favorite are Pampers Sensitive.
I get a 180 count box for $28. Original price (and Walmart price): $40!
How you say?
Sign up for Amazon Mom-get 15% off
Sign up for subscribe and save (they send you diapers automatically)- get 15% MORE off
Free 2-day shipping included.
AND you become PRIME!! Are you excited? I was. For days.
For pumping mommies- Playtex Breastmilk Storage Kit. I'm so excited about this. Since I pump 3x a day (basically feels like half my life), this is a big deal to me. With this, I don't have to pump into a bottle, pour it into a storage bag, then pour it into a drop-in liner. I completley save the cost of the storage bags (expensive suckers!) and skip that step. I bought 2 of these storage kits ($20) and I'll be good forever!
Probably nobody cares about anything I just said. Oh well. I'M excited about it :)

Keeping up.

It's been far too long.
My girl is growing and learning every single day and I have fallen even more in love with her and our little family. It just feels so right. I always wondered "how do they do it?"; but we are doing it. 2 full time jobs, one masters student (on an accelerated program, might I add), a guitar hobby, a photography hobby, family, friends, clean house, bills to pay, and all while trying to give our baby girl the BEST that we can!
We spent the weekend just relaxing and recouping from the busy work week. It was finally warm enough to lay a blanket in the front yard and get some fresh air (I know, strange when my last post was snow!).
I know I will be cursing myself later for saying this, but I am going to take my bragging time now. Miss Paisley sleeps from 10-5 every night without waking up! I feed her at 5 and she goes back to sleep until about 6:30 when we leave for daycare/work. She has been doing great at daycare, eating well and taking her naps, she gets compliments from the teachers daily! Makes a mommy so proud :)
This week, we noticed that Paisley started to sorta 'bat' at objects, so we have been spending alot of time on the activity mat with toys. Low and behold, after spending the week at daycare and the teachers telling me she was touching the toys, she is now GRABBING things in front of her! She can hold onto her toy for a while and she is working on keeping her grip.
We are also starting to see raspberrys and lots of drool...bib time!
She officially laughed as well for the first couple of times, I can't wait to catch it on video!
When she sees me walk by, she stares at me really hard. When I greet her, she smiles really big, and then it's immediate sad face with little whines. "Mommy...I'm [hungry] [wet] [used to being carried around by you and know you will give in]." Oh, the life of a mommy. There's nothing like that feeling.
Oh yeah, and her interest for tv, the laptop, and phones. I'm aware that she just sees light and that's why it's interesting, but [vomit] its crazy how different life is going to be for her in this high tech world we live in now.

One Week Down.

It's been an exhausting week. I'm getting my groove going for this back-to-work daycare business.

Feed baby. Pump. Get mommy ready. Get baby ready. Daycare. Work. Pump. Daycare. Lunch. Work. Pump. Daycare. Dinner. Cuddles. Bed. Do it all over again.

I miss my girl so. But the daycare is WONDERFUL, so no worries. This weekend I need to take more pictures. We have milestones happening. Don't blink.

Daycare Day 1: FAIL!

Okay, so it's not what you think. We had a snow day :) So I got to hold onto my baby girl one more day! Meant to be? I had everything laid out perfect. I was mentally prepared (I think). But tomorrow we shall part...

I really wanted to take some pictures of my girl out in the snow and in her cute monster outfit that Grammy and Grampy bought her. Because I woke up and looked out the window and this is what I saw. (Mind you I live in a place where it goes years without snowing!)

So I got her in her little monster get up and plopped her in the snow with a bag underneath her so she wouldn't get soaked. This is what I got:
Angry monster
We went inside and finished out her pics inside where it was warm and cozy.

This is what a no-nap baby monster looks like:

Oh, and by the way-
